Filip and Chantal have a beautiful house in Crete that we renovated and they enhanced with wonderful colour, art and now astronomy courses.

FILIP and CHANTAL

Both born in the year 1961 and lived for more then 45 years in Belgium. They fond each other at the age 17- 9 May 1978. On the birthday of Chantal. Fell in love and married exactly 3 years later on 9 of May 1981. A few years later they had a daughter Sharon. As a family during there holidays every year they visited one of the Greek islands. They love the people and there way of live. Going on holiday to Greece felt like going home.

Chantal worked  for several years in a printing-office. Here hobby was sketching painting etc... Made her job from her hobby and became a professional painter in the mid 1990's  Before that time she studied for 5 years art school. Exhibitions in different countries like Germany, The Netherlands, France, Crete & Belgium. Made from here an artist that knows what is what in the artistic world of art.   

Filip was first a carpenter for 23 years and later became a teacher. But always had a passion for astronomy. Starting from very early age he was fascinated with every thing that the heavens had to hide. He also built several telescopes. Combining the things he loves is now a reality. Astronomy, Greece and teaching.

Takes you  through all the different kinds of art. Explains how to make a good painting or drawing. As well as taking a stroll together through the beautiful landscape of  Agios-Stéfanos in the south of Crete.

Wants to show the night sky and the wonders of the heavens to every body that likes to explore nature. This is all done with professional telescopes . For 25 years as astronomer, Filip already has a good idea what the night sky has to offer and can explain what you see, how to find it and how a telescope works.
