We know this house inside out as we renovated this from scratch and you can see our pictures here .

This house was renovated to reflect the light and bring a modern feel to an older house, In some rooms we found natural rocks in the walls and we used them to accentuate the rooms. We also kept  and restored the beams and as many original features as we could.

Whilst building the stone garden wall,  we also found a natural air pocket. These exist across the mountains, as air is trapped beneath and is released at certain areas. A wonderful find and one we made sure to keep as a natural air conditioning system in the garden!

This house is located at the top of the village with no other house behind it either. It can be accessed from the road at the back and is in a very good position within the village.It has stunning views down the valley and is a very comfortable home in the village.

Entered by the front door up the stairs you enter the kitchen, dining and living areas. We designed an archway to separate the two and used light coloured stone to enhance the walls. Further along we made a one bathroom which we added a corner bath and a very difficult to find sink! From here is a large airy bedroom with a window up high to let in light but not disturb the sleeper.

Set in approximately 400m2 of land, this 145m2 house has on ground level a room which can be used as guest house as the owners have shown by incorporating a small kitchen as well. It could always be used as an office or workshop too. Going up a litte more you enter a bedroom with a bathroom en-suite.

We installed aluminium windows and double glazed them to fully insulate the house in both summer and winter seasons and also put in aircondition units and solar heated water.

Outside we tiled the roof for insulation and also for use as a terrace, as being so high it has wonderful uninterrupted views down across the valley and is also a great suntanning veranda! We made a metal staircase going up the side of the house to access the roof and not intrude on the back garden views too.

In front of the house there is a wood burning oven which has now been painted and we kept the store room at the side of the house the same, so that all gardening or bbq equipement can be stored easily.
